Brad Fields - owner, founder, and sole programmer for JB's Pro PC.

JB's Pro PC started nearly 30 years ago in my garage in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago, built on a passion for serving my community’s PC repair needs. Over time, I expanded my expertise, bringing over 25 years of experience in industrial machine programming and operation. That evolution has led to the creation of JB's Pro PC / NC Solutions, offering a broad range of technical solutions.

3rd Generation Journeyman Moldmaker turned programmer, my career started from the shop floor – I'm not just a hired hand that has never cranked a handle or pressed start on one of my own programs – I have two plus decades worth of experience, knowledge, and expertise to turn solid models and drawings into finish machined product ready for any application.

NC Programming

Over 25 Years experience programming Mill: 3D/4th/5th axis, Mill/Turn, Turn and WEDM.
Certified Master Programmer using the latest state-of-the-art toolpath strategies on fully licensed and maintained seats of Hexagon's Esprit CAM.
Focus on driving to cost savings, cycle time reductions, and process improvements.
Diverse industry experience in Aero, Auto, Telecomm, Oil & Gas, and Medical.
Experience providing comprehensive setup sheets, detailed work-holding MAPS, tool lists, and complete simulation files for a deep range of projects from multi-axis parts all the way to simple 2D turned pieces.
Jobs in varying plant operations driving me to fit programs to various machining styles and strategies tailored to specific production needs, all while optimizing for efficiency and precision.
Intimate knowledge of industry standard machining strategies, inspection methods and procedures, as well as geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Working relationships with all major cutting tool manufacturers along with knowledge of their tooling offerings.

Industry Knowledge

3rd Generation Journeyman Moldmaker turned programmer.
Graduated from the Tooling and Manufacturing Association in Chicago, IL, winning Runner-Up for its annual Apprentice of the Year award.
Started off on the bench running manual machines. Shortly after, I advanced to CNC and progressed with setup, operation, troubleshooting, and finally programming CNC machines.
Over the following 2-plus decades, I’ve programmed, setup and ran everything from simple 2 axis turning machines, 3 and 4 axis mills, 5 axis mill/turn machines, 5 axis WEDM’s, and form, visual, jig, and ID/OD grinders.
Effective tool selection and efficient utilization for machining powdered metal, aluminum, stainless, tool steel, exotic metals, hard milling and hard turning.
